Barroz is a beautiful fantasy movie and a visual treat. Mohanlal & Santosh Sivan have taken a brave step into new territory that was once the stronghold of the likes of Disney in terms of graphics and storytelling. The plot revolves around Barroz, a mythical guardian ghost steeped in loyalty and duty to protect the vast treasure of the D' Gama family and pass it to the rightful heir. Mohanlal in this protagonist role did his magic with the ease and flow that I have come to expect as a fan from one the finest actors of all time. His directorial debut yet brilliance & perfection shone through in his ability to bring out an incredible performance from actors from other countries. The touching melancholy of the fada music was soulful. Santosh Sivan the maestro of cinematography has done a fabulous job in transporting and gripping me in the illusion of this beautiful fairy tale. Thank you Lal for the movie. Btw my 90 year Amma thoroughly enjoyed Barroz despite the painful inconvenience of having to climb all those PVR stairs. In her own words it appealed to her child ego.

Lots of expectations but fell flat. It was slow and dragging.
