Clearly this film is marmite. In one corner people are saying it’s garbage and in the opposite corner people really like it.
SPOILER...
People who say terminator was, and always will be about John fair enough that’s their opinion. If you choose to believe this then you can easily follow the timeline that Sarah died of Cancer in 1997 (which is a deleted scene in T2) and that she only prevented Judgment day. This then leads onto T3 (personally don’t think it’s as bad as made out) where John fulfils his role as Leader of the resistance and if you want you have Salvation at the back of this.
People who say the terminator was, and always will be about Sarah then here you go this is a continuation of her story should she not die of cancer. Fair play to the writers it’s a bold move to kill John at the start but I think it actually leads to a really good story. Sarah is a troubled woman who has become as hard as nails. And I think Arnold’s role is fantastic and well conceived, especially that he learns what he did to Sarah by killing John and tries to give her purpose in life.
One this I will miss is I feel Skynet was an awesome name. Legion not feeling it just yet but I look forward to seeing what the future could entail for this franchise.
No matter who you think is the most important Sarah or John there are films that show their life’s in different timelines.
MacKenzie Davis was superb
Rev.9 I felt was a scary terminator not far off Robert Patrick’s T1000
Reyes well I think we have to see how the future unfolds for her
Linda and Arnold I hope their going to be back.
