I watched this movie for the first time today. Monday, 24 February, 2025 via turner classic movies cable channel. .. I can relate to all that was said, by both sides. My own fathers father, had to live through the same thing, but 75 years earlier, ca. 1902, in wilkes barre, pa. Coal mines. My grandfather and his father were coal miners for the Pottston coal Co. In that era. And my grandfather had same problems, and contracted early TB, working too early for his family. Those miners had the same problems. Working for poor wages at that time. I heard many stories second hand. This movie shows the modern era of same problems.
