This is unique in its lessons about life wrapped up in a hero who is a dog yearning to be human. He masters the art of "just being a dog," with the heart and mind of a human all meshed together with tears mixed in while not being totally "over the top sentimentally gushy." What a feat in and of itself! Add to that great writing, a disciplined approach to that writing and acting along with a terrific "feel good ending," and this becomes one of the greatest animal movies ever!

To be able to take one of the ALL TIME, more contemporary, Disney Greats, and enable us to behold it again, in splendor, is to me, a noble feat! As I have read, even here, in review, there are aspects that give this marvel of a tale variances from the animated version, but so be it. There are different layers, nuances, and images to be sure, but I, for one, reveled in those differences because its essence is eternal simply because its message, power, and impact is the same . Lion King always will be majestic and Classic in every sense of those words. BRAVO!!!
