A little disappointed in this show. It has such potential, but it’s just not quite there. My biggest frustration is the portrayal of Raven. In the animation she is more or less withdrawn, monotone, dark, and independent. In this show she is relatively needy, whiny, and dependent. The acting overall is subpar (again, almost there. Needs more work). The effects are relatively good. The script and plot are mediocre. Starfires portrayal is very different from the animation as well, in regards to personality. The only character that I feel was portrayed well was Beast Boy, honestly. Overall, it’s a good show. It has so much more potential (as do most DC film/series). It keeps your attention long enough, it’s just interesting enough, but you’ll catch yourself checking your phone more often than not.
