The MCU has a "by the numbers" formulaic and stuffy corprate feel. Nothing truly wondrous or incongruent, on the flipside, Warner Bros DCEU is a thinking man's franchise, and that is precisely why I prefer it to MCU. Reaching as far back to The Watchmen. I felt lile a kid in the 90s again, scrimping and saving for the money to buy a DC Vertigo Trade Paperbic graphic novel, or keeping up the the Death and subsequent rise of Superman (the Supermen). BVS is definitely the weakest in the series, but on rewatch it reveals a tone of loss and the nebulousness in the human pantheon. It's a pretty good movie, if not overstuffed and inexplicable geographies of Metroplis and Gotham City, which should be canonically hundreds of miles apart.
