Watched the new Joker film at Abbotsford Cineplex and VIP theatres with my girlfriend. Overall, I found the plot was compelling and the musical dynamic was artistic and poetic. Lady Gaga fits the role of Harley Quinn very well. For a sequel, it's quite a different take on The Joker compared to its prequel. I could see why OG Joker fans would be less interested, as some people walked out during the last 15 min of the film. However, being a musician of over 10 years, I found the soundtrack and portrayal of Arthur's imagination to be moving and poetic. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the film. 9.5/10. Will be watching again when released beyond theatres.

Excellent casting, well-written story, plot twists and all - it was very enjoyable. Will be watching again.
