LOVED IT: It's very different from the previous two films in terms of its tone, palette of colours and mood. Its cinematography uses noir to portray the darker sides of human nature - the villains of the plot as well as the effect of the atrocities of war as background. The actors (main cast + supporting) are terrific - Jisshu, Shashwata, Anjan Dutta - everyone. The suspense and pace is maintained at every moment, and the tedious and tricky job of handling three stories - one as reference and the other two elaborately, is done commendably by the director and his crew. Conversations are engrossing, with subtle humour sprinkled into the otherwise tense, terse narrative; the jazz fits in well, and the racy, edgy Byomkesh who is larger-than-life, yet close home, is endeared to people yet inspires a kind of awed respect. A must watch indeed!
