Though Alien Romulus is a good-looking film,I found it quite predictable. It will probably be more impressive to newcomers. It is similar to Prometheus in that it looks wonderful but it is full of things that don't make a whole lot of sense. The idea that the characters would be able to blast off from their back yard seems a
bit unlikely,especially in a corporate,authitarian setting.
Also,I'm somewhat at a loss as to where all the facehuggers and xenomorphs actually come from. And why the facehuggers seem to be in artificial eggs. It's implied that the xenomorphs from the first film killed a lot of people before it was finally dispatched. So why go out of your way to recreate a creature you know
will get out of control and kill you some more. It these inconsistencies that undermined Prometheus and Covenant. It's annoying to find that the people behind
these films always forget to come up with a plot.
