I found Rebecca to be a disappointing adaptation. From my perspective, the film lacked suspense, had weak performances, It failed to capture the eerie tension of Daphne du Maurier’s novel or Alfred Hitchcock’s 1940 adaptation. I would say the film’s tone & pacing was its biggest flaw.
