After the massive disappointments that were the last season of Game of Thrones and the "sequel trilogy" of Star Wars, I still had hope for this most beloved of book series. Well, that was foolish of me. I cannot fathom why they thought the realistically strong female characters that Jordan and Sanderson wrote needed to be made comically soaked in contempt for men. The male characters, as is the norm these days, are made out to be mopey, incompetent, sad boys. For the sake of those of you that have read and love the books, I won't list all the defective character changes, I'm sure you know what I mean. The cherry on top was the completely unnecessary lesbian encounter that has to be thrown in for "representation". I for one can't be bothered to watch the rest of the series, it's a waste of time and an insult to a great author's life's work.
