I cannot stress enough how important this book is for all humans to read, especially in the political climate of 2025. Bob combined humour, queer experience, black history and culture into what will one day become a literary classic. As a History and English teacher, I was brought to tears by both the historical accuracy and moving passages. All characters were fully realized and allowed readers to connect with them. Finally, the songs included with the audiobook could have been their own stand-alone singles, but combined with the plot from the novel that shared in their creation, left me absolutely stunned. Bob the Drag Queen… more like Bob the Author.
