I personally LOVED this game. I’m thoroughly frustrated with these 9 year old kids rating it one star and going ‘iT hAs sExuAl ContEnt!’ ‘BlOo0D!’ ‘SuiCidE!’ Yes. This game does feature such topics, but it was never meant for children under the age of 13. If you decided to play the game after seeing the warning THAT IS AT THE START OF THE GAME EVERY TIME YOU LOD IT ‘This game is not for children or those who are easily disturbed’ and you were a child and ended up getting disturbed, that’s your own fault.
Depending on the child’s maturity can show the results of how they will react to this game. Such as anything.
If you have a weak stomach or are sensitive to blood, Suicide, or sexual innuendo’s (No sexual content is shown, only briefly discussed) Then try another game. The game was published free as the creator knew it was being advertised differently than let on.
I still rate this game 5 stars as it was developed by one man with an idea that just came to him in college. I cannot express how much I love this game. It almost reminds of me of UNDERTALE (who else remembers UNDERTALE? Or is it just me?) as the two games both start off innocent but then will throw a whole OH YOU THOUGHT THAT WAS IT? around the end/second half of the game. Ddlc will constantly get darker, but it’s not afraid to show what people go through.
For anyone trying to get into visual novels or slow-burn horror role-plays, then Doki Doki Literature Club is for you! Nevertheless, the girls are adorable and it’s great deciding on a waifu to claim as your own.
