Very simple story telling by a mother to her son, a story of Love, hope and pursuit for an aspiration engendered by the mother to her child. A very familiar story of a loving mother and child relationship, story telling of a fantasy made real as the story unfolds. The hope for a better tomorrow, a search for the light as symbolyzed by the Furefky. A very light and child-friendly way to allow a child to see the struggles of chidren through life harsh realities without them feeling traumatized while watching. And the beautiful and majestic Mayon, so amazing panoramic view of Bicol mountain ranges and the serene ocean - all so beautiful shots that make you all the more want to visit Albay and Sorsogon. At the end of the movie, i’d thought, no wonder it won the Best Picture. 5/5 rating. Very deserving!
