Sad interplay of everything that could have gone wrong, going really wrong, despite the budget and the cast. Denzel acts as he is an American big shot gangster taking over the roman empire. Lucius is totally out of his league. The plot is at the level of a soap opera, as everything goes from out of this world monkeys, to sharks and rhinos. Not to mention the story of not knowing how anything or anyone is really part of the same plotline. Lucila is portrayed as an old barbie hired to make soap opera face expressions and trying to look beautiful at the same time. I muted the movie after some time and I forced myself to watch it till the end. It was as if a video game plot entered the roman empire stage.
