Roshni Iddya

Ranveer Singh stole the show as Allaudin Khilji. Deepika looks good but fails to match the aura, charisma and beauty of the real Rani padmavati as described in the film. Shahid Kapoor is a visual delight as a valiant Rajput king but when somehow is not able to enact the same due to his expressionless scenes. The costumes, sets, cinematography, direction is spot on like any other Bhansali film. The ghoomar song is like the icing on the cake which is beautifully choreographed. The film depicts the grandeur, bravery, sacrifice of the Rajputs and of course Allaudin Khilji's madness!! Overall I won't say that the film is a 'must watch' but for moviebuffs padmavat is good enough to get entertained.
