So far its quite a game. I seen others complaining about lack of tutorial, but I found that to be refreshing. Games these days hold your hand through everything, this one rewards you for thinking for yourself, experimenting and exploring. Ive been glued to this game since it became free on PS Plus. It does have a steep learning curve, but after realizing that nearly everything in the world can be interacted with/gathered....its pretty easy to catch on and understand what to do. It took me a few deaths to get going, but Im grateful I stuck with it.
Ive played solo, co op on an offline server, and online. Online with friends is fun later, but solo will help you get an understanding of the game before having to deal with PVP elements. Its a blast working with friends to gather, build, and exploring further north and raiding caves/dungeons.
Overall, Ive enjoyed this game a bit more than other RPGs that have come out the last few years. The amount of systems in this game is astonishing. Almost all crafting recipes and building seem pretty logical, and again its so rewarding figuring out how to make that next new thing.
I give this game a solid 9/10 (Based on it being free, 7/10 if paying retail.) It does have a few bugs and framerate issues, but given how massive this online world truly is, its easily overlooked. And I say online world, because it truly is immersive and will suck hours from your life without feeling like it.
