Really loved this movie! Wasn't sure what to expect, but I was fully drawn in and loved the "ironic sincerity" of the film. Yes, it's a musical, but it totally worked. Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds and Octavia Spencer did fantastic work singing and dancing (skills outside of their usual work) and (I think) this lack of polish made their work even more charming, relatable and moving. The music is really very good with ear worm tunes and lyrics that are quite thoughtful and, I hope, thought-provoking.The choreography and performances by the dancers is really impressive and I loved it. Hope others enjoy this film as much as I did!
