Different, yes Godzilla but a rich storyline written for the characters and not the monster.

Loved the first, second not so much. Pros the era! Anything 80s shines and when you add great costumes, camp, and consistency then how could you possible for wrong?! Well, they did. Boring, predictable dialogue. Hard to imagine this as a sequel to the last movie. Sure there are the obvious super hero tropes, friend is the villain and coming to grips with loss, but this movie fails to include good dialogue and character driven plot. Such a let down that I am embarrassed to even write a review. No chance this could be made a better flick and save your money please.
