LL Crowden

This is a true gem. Life is certainly a hoot with this collection of characters. My entire household has read this New Mexico based book. On one trip through Santa Fe in the early 1990’s, I took a chance and looked up the authors phone number and gave her a call. I was pleasantly surprised when she answered the phone. We talked and laughed for a while, what a lovely lady. Would liked to talk longer, but I could tell she was tired. My next trip through Santa Fe we went to the site where her ranch had been, not to chat, but to see her memorial stone. An era had past. To my knowledge the site of her ranch is now the 5 star hotel, Bishops Lodge. Such a rich history of New Mexico life and a wild ride on her ranch. A worthwhile read when you just need a great “feel good” read.
