Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July, is a wacky, zany movie, with this concept of Rudolph having his red nose to slowly grow dimmer. The evil Winterbolt is trying to steal his light, as this is the light of the Aurora Borealis, or "Lady Borealis", who stopped Winterbolt once before, and gave her light to Rudolph in his nose, with a warning, that if he ever does evil, his light will go out. Winterbolt then contrives a dastardly plan, to use Rudolph against his friends, to cause his light to go out. Frosty decides to come with Rudolph, as the two travel to the "Christmas in July Parade". This is where most of the action is introduced. Frosty is then convinced by Winterbolt to wear a charm, and this charm is meant to prevent Frosty and his family from melting, but ends up being a part of Winterbolt's scheme. All in all the movie does have a happy ending, but not before Winterbolt is horrifically transformed into a tree. It's quite graphic, as are some of Winterbolt's henchman. I loved this movie as a kid, and still do as an adult. It's quite eccentric, and fascinating. I would give the movie a 9/10. It's worth a watch at Christmas or the 4th.
