I’m writing this comment solely to break the trend. Haven’t watched the movie so I’ll give it a 3/5.

Some people have already said it in their reviews, but the 1 star reviews are ridiculous. They literally just hate the game, because they can't have a player two in story mode. Not to mention I've always seen the story mode of the pikmin experience as a single player thing. There's also the dandori battles in this game which do have 2 players. Now with that out of the way, I think this is one of the best recent nintendo switch games. It's interesting, fun, and addicting. I also think it's satisfying to just rush into enemies on the dog and with your pikmin, then just watch the enemy get absolutely bodied in seconds. The beginning of the game can be a little annoying, since there's almost constant unskippable dialog, and your being told what to do (this is coming from someone who played the previous games). But after the first few days in the game, it gets good. I also like that they bring back a lot of old stuff from the older pikmin games, such as caves, old enemies & bosses that haven't made an appearance since the first two games, and more. I haven't beat the game yet, but I like it so far.
