The early 2000s had a lot of memorable teen horrors including "Scream", "Jeepers Creepers"and "I know what you Did Last Summer"- this is definitely not one of them!

The fourth in the series of "Doctor in.." movies is a charming comedy with a well respected bunch of actors including Leslie Phillips, Nicholas Parson, Joan Sims, Irene Handle and of course James Robertson Justin, well worth a look for fans of classic British comedy.

Overall not great to be honest - released in 1997 and in 2024 looking horribly dated, this British Comedy starring Jane Horrocks in the title role and Rik Mayall playing his usually role is quite forgettable - both stars have done some fabulous work over the years but the best thing about this is Horrock's voice, a few laughs maybe, but very few and far between.

I'm usually a fan of the character of Sherlock Holmes and the actor Roger Moore, so you would think a movie starring Roger Moore as the great detective and Patrick Mcnee as Doctor Watson would be good fun, alas this 1976 TV film isn't great, it has a few good moments and John Huston is great as the villainous Professor Moriarty and Moore and Mcnee are ok I guess as Holmes and Watson but for the most part it's rather plodding and interesting - for avid Sherlock Holmes or Roger Moore fans only I suppose.

Along with Michael Winner and Stanley Kubrick, Ken Russell is one of my all time favourite movie directors and Michael Caine is one of my all time favourite actors, also I love spy movies, so in theory this should be one of the best movies I've ever seen, however... To be honest it's all a bit of a mess this second sequel to the iconic "The Ipcress File" Michael Caine is as always superb in the role of Harry Palmer, his third and final cinema outing (he would go on to play the character in two TV movies which I've yet to see) and Ken Russell creates support stunning visuals, just something really doesn't work, it's all a bit over the place with only a smattering of connections to the original movie - cinema trivia fans may spot Donald Sutherland and Susan George in minor roles.

All respect to Telly Savalas, he was a fine actor but this low grade crime thriller does him no favours about two criminals and a young boy (played by Mark Lester) who go on the run after a bungled robbery, it's been a long time since a movie has interested me so little.

Forgotten low budget action film from Europe from 1994, in which the lead hero is a cop who is sort of a cross between James Bond and Rambo- it's all utterly ridiculous and clichéd, but I will admit there is a certain charm to it all.

There is probably no argument that Peter Sellers was one of cinemas finest slapstick comedians, he did some truly great films including "The Ladykillers" and "The Millionairess" but also some real stinkers! 1974's "The Return of the Pink Panther" probably stands somewhere in the middle, he is as always great at the hapless french detective Inspector Clusoe, however when he is not on the screen this is however a frequently boring and dated film.
