This is my personal review of the series. - The first book was very entertaining and fun to read - After Everblaze, the books became quite dull, with a bit of a confusing plot. - A lot of the books just contain endless dialogue between characters - there was barely ANY character development. The main character has basically no personality. -not very diverse, also. only a few characters were of color. -I feel as though Suzanne Collins could've just stopped after a few books. the story becomes boring -the love triangle is probably the most interesting part of the series. I only kept reading because of the love triangle. The author keeps saying "oh dont focus on the love triangle, what really matters is sophie's journey". fail. -i loved the idea of the plot, a secret elf group plants an elf embyro into the human race, elf goes on to discover the world of elves, but i think the author just made it really boring. - the story wasnt very detailed. at times, i had to pay VERY close attention to the story to figure out what was going on. -The main character, sophie, is always going on so many adventures each book, i loose track of them all the time. -Sophie keeps on calling Dex her best friend, even though it is clear they never hang out together Basically I think the story could've been really well done, but the author executed it very very poorly.
