My son (he's almost four) and I really loved this book; it has gorgeous illustrations and a moving story. I found the core message of the book important for both children and adults; it was refreshing to read a book that, in the sweetest and most heartfelt way possible, challenges gender stereotypes/traditional gender socialization--showing children how to be both self-accepting and non-judgmental or supportive of other people's forms of self-expression.
