It was okay. I like historical fiction and I was interested in the story. The tension between the mother and grandmother as well as the mother’s issues grew tiresome. I did feel for the mother’s struggles, but I would have liked to see more of the story focus on what haunted the house and how it affected everyone. I was surprised to see the grandmother killed off so soon. I watched it mainly because of my affinity for Glenn Close’s work. I’m glad it was included on Netflix and I didn’t pay for it at the theater.
