My mother-in-law used to make this cake. I had no doubt it was one of the best cakes, I had ever eaten. It’s just a perfect white pound cake. You can’t try to make the recipe make sense. I just made it; and it was as I said, perfect. If you can follow directions and not start changing; you will indeed bake something special. Enjoy!
