Jane Moore

I am two episodes in and I give it two stars for finding that it all checks out great with sets and dialogue and plot. But my goodness RD is cringe with the same delivery and expression with way too much camera time on him. He is credited with such brilliance as an actor yet he is playing the same guy he’s played for 40 years! Everything feels hollow and off. Jesse Plemons’ toothy grimaces and expressions are puzzling and distracting. The cliche daughter not jibing with Daddy. Something is so so off with camera closeups with almost nothing revealing or enlightening going on as the camera stays on faces. Please, someone watch the two seasons of the Diplomat and tell me if I’m crazy to expect more of this show and cast. Ugh.
