This movie came out when my mother was a child and she blessed me by showing me this movie. It has been my favorite movie since and Ik the soundtrack like the back of my hand. I like how it captures the 70’s black culture. Though it’s not a light hearted as the 1939 version I appreciate the time an effort put into the soundtrack, costumes, and art of this movie. It will always be a favorite of mine and I can’t wait to show it to my children.
