The show was never really good. It had a couple of good moments. Overall just more nonsense by Disney Wars team who are totally incapable of making anything SW related that is actually good.

1st of all I am writing this as of the 6th episode being released. I think there is enough now for a fair assessment. (I read one guys review and he admitted he only saw 2 episodes. It is idiotic to even write a review that early on.) It's a good show. Not perfect but for sure worth a watch if you're a fan of Tolkien's universe. I like the Star Wars extended universe and novels (I dislike almost all the Disney SW contributions). This sort of reminds me of SW EU content. The EU content wasn't written by Lucas but had the same feel and authenticity. Don't expect it to be exactly as Tolkien would have made it and you will enjoy it the same way EU can't be absorbed in the sense of Lucas would have done it this way blah blah blah. If you compare apples to apples with Tolkien's Simarillion you will hate it. Why even do that to yourself? A lot of people are tired of the push for out of place female leads but in my opinion the woman who plays Galadriel did a great job. The characters are cool. It's fun seeing Numenor in live action. All the scenes with Durin and the dwarves are great. This show could end up being amazing. I hope I end up deleting this review after the end of season 2 and making a new 5 star. If it sucks I'll change it to a worse one but for now just watch it people, form your own opinion, and don't listen to me or others. See for yourself. I will say I like this show better than house of dragon. HOD and GOT seems to rely heavily on shock value violence and sex stuff more than story telling. ROP is more about flushing out characters fully and building a bigger story than a bunch of smaller somewhat fragmented stuff more common in HOD. ROP is a slower burn but I find I am far more drawn in than HOD. HOD is cool too but it is sort of just the same stuff from GOT minus the ice zombies. Our society is really a mess. Most people can't honestly criticize anything. It's either 5 stars or 1 star with barely anybody ranking in between like a normal sample size should indicate. People are either just homers and loving it or haters and hating it. Keep it real guys. It's okay to do 4 3 and 2 and explain why with some intelligence. You don't have to simply love something enough to praise it or hate it enough to trash it. People are so emotional and dramatic.
