Sanditon brings Jane Austen's world to life. The acting is first rate. It draws the viewer in each week until the viewer is totally invested in the character's loves and lifes. The story reaches a mid-point climax in episode 8 which invokes feelings of joy followed sharply by tears and tantrums. This is the best period drama I have seen and cries out for a proper resolution in a second series. I can only hope and pray that this drama receives a proper ending. If not, it will be such a shame. Surely a well acted dramatic historical production is worth more that the usual mind numbing rubbish reality TV that the production companies seem to prefer to waste their money on?! Watch Sanditon, you won't regret it, even without a second season.
