VERY MAJOR SPOILERS!!! This game is best played as blind as possible, proceed with caution.
This game is immaculate. Everything about it is incredible.
I'll start with the combat/traversal: All the abilities feel extremely fluid and in place. It's also very satisfying to pull off a good combo. I cannot wait for the videos of completely game breaking tool and gameplay combos.
The visuals are beyond amazing, and it surprises me how one could hand draw everything in this game.
A lot of people are complaining about the difficulty, but I think it's completely justified. Team Cherry expected you to play all but the hardest of challenges in Hollow Knight before you played Silksong, and I did that, which makes this game feel more like a fun challenge rather than a soulsbourne game. (I have 500 hrs on HK at the time of writing this, so my opinion would be very different from someone who only got ending 1 or none at all)
The exploration feels very fun and rewarding as well.
Having a fake ending lead into Act 3 is brilliant, and they tied the 2 games together very well while still leaving a ton of room for theories and speculation. Ending 3 was beyond hype with all the Shades and the Shade Lord, although Lost Lace wasn't hard enough.
The music is also perfect. Thank God that Team Cherry managed not to screw over one of the greatest video game music producers after the first game. *cough cough* ID SOFTWARE *cough cough*
The cherry on top is the price. Only $20 for the greatest game I've ever played and probably ever will play? It doesn't cost enough because I now feel guilty, as if I'm stealing from Team Cherry.
Conclusion: Hollow Knight was a 10/10 game, and Silksong manages to make Hollow Knight look/feel bland. This is genuinely a 12/10 game, and absolutely worth the wait, and the $20. Make sure to at least get 112% True ending in Hollow Knight before playing this though (the game is hard)
