14 years old, and I just watched this movie! These are my honest thoughts! Freakier friday was a very emotional movie, I really liked the character arc with Harper and Lily. They went from resenting their parents marriage and eachother, to learning how to love it. And Lily going from an arrogant and selfish teen to a much more kinder and mature version was very pleasant. She also learned how much her father loved Anna, and it was very sweet with how she apologized. Harper, on the other hand, also had a nice character arc. She learned to understand how much her mother Anna really cares for her, and how much the two actually relate to eachother. And the pacing was really good! There were a lot of very funny scenes that I enjoyed! And I liked the subtle references of the first movie, especially with Jake's girlfriend looking exactly like younger Tess at the end of the movie.. However, I will have to add on to the jokes part. There were a lot of 'Old people' jokes and 'teen stuff'. It was funny the first few times, but it sort of became predictable and less funny. I feel like the good examples of the old people jokes were 'They have diapers for old people?!' Or Tess calling the opposing pickle ball team noticeably younger than her 'boomers'. Another good joke was 'Oh, my husband's about 50-100.. Something old..' There were a couple other good ones, but it sort of became annoying rather than funny cause it was used so many times. And for the teen stuff, it was less used than the old joke, but there weren't many good jokes. The only one I found somewhat funny was the Psychic saying 'oh.. cool gen z.. boop, beeeep..' Despite the amount of time the old jokes were mentioned, everything else was pretty good! I liked how Anna was able to preform again with her daughter! Although I slightly prefer the original, this one comes close. I recommend watching!
