Was an overall good movie with stunning visuals and a captivating story. However, some of the songs felt overly silly and disrupted the emotional impact of key scenes, which could have been much stronger without the goofiness. The bonds created between the characters were handled well, and there were some pleasant surprises of how some of the characters came into the story. Like Rafiki and Zazu. The “betrayal” felt rushed, which was disappointing because for many of us, the main reason we were interested in the story was to find out what truly was the rift between the two brothers and it felt lazy.
