Blake Edwards’ fast-paced and very romantic Cold War spy thriller succeeds admirably in titillating the mind and the senses! Julie Andrews and Omar Sharif make a very dynamic romantic duo. She resists him at first, but ultimately succumbs of course to his abundance of charm. The movie was filmed on location in England and gorgeous Barbados, which contributes considerably to the reality of the piece and heightens the level of romance and intrigue. The film’s lush and gorgeous romantic score, very reminiscent of the James Bond spy thrillers, adds yet another intriguing atmospheric dimension to the proceedings. Absolutely first rate thrill ride!
