Loved To Sing of War by Cath McKinnon - so beautifully crafted with stories braided together by the end. Sense of place and characters were so strong and extensive research added to the authenticity. Not many war novel are written by women and this was an intimate view of lives at the on WW2. Highly recommend this novel (and her previous novel ‘Storyland’).
