A treasure of a book in how race relations in this period was the norm. Lack of communications for Edna & others out in the wilds did not enjoy the media bliz of information we now all share. Her quote in her book was was telling of that period & a bit sad if her loneliness : " Citizenship rights ( Aborigina) did not affect us until the day a strange black man came to the front gate. This surprised me as our blacks never came to the front gate" (at p15.)
