We are finally at the end of a journey. Episode 8 is now in the books. What have we learned from Season 1? That Galadriel is insufferable. She never gets beyond teenaged petulance. Gets wet swimming across an ocean and even more wet whenever she's around Halbrand. Pretty much never happy and only speaking in long drawn-out melodramatic sentences. That Harfoots are about as two faced as they come. Talking about never leaving anybody behind and in the next scene leaving somebody behind. That Numenoreans are claiming they'll be replaced by elves when there is only one elf in Numenor and the one elf want's to get away as quick as possible. That Numenoreans are willing to send their teenagers off to fight with no formal training. In todays world they would be called cannon fodder. That you can fit 300 soldiers, their horses and all their equipment onto three medium sized boats. That volcanos aren't really all that bad. Of course they can burn down trees and an entire village, but human flesh is just not that combustible. Taking a pyroclastic blast head on just proves how tough you are. That Mithril is like crack cocaine to elves. They gotta to have it or they're just gunna die. Like most addicts, elves need the fix right here and right now. Oh and of course that Halbrand is Sauron, that meteor man is a wizard, that people can transport across great distances in mere moments, that time discrepancies don't matter, that the sea is always right and that if you don't like the show, you're racist and evil. Lots of important information you'll need to have leading into Season 2. The show was just badly written with no attention to detail. Characters were not likable nor relatable. Much of the action was just filler with nothing to do with the story. Will not watch Season 2 if it continues along the same path as Season 1. Hope the show runners and people at Amazon will get off their high horse and realize changes need to be made if this is going to be watchable for 5 seasons.
