The good reviews have to be fake. I stopped watching the franchise after the third movie bc it started going downhill. I decided to give this one a chance hoping it would redeem the franchise. It didn't. It's terrible. The k!lls are random, no build up or preshadowing, just random de@ths. It honestly feels like a low budget film. If I spent $$$ on tickets to see this I would've left mid movie and asked for a refund.

Poor acting, poorly written script, La Llorona wasn't a strong enough character to center an entire film around. It was lackluster, and worst of all it wasn't scary. Seems like they turned a Mexican folklore into the generic Hollywood horror films. The entire Conjuring universe just isn't as good as it could've been. . .however this film is prob my least favorite. Skip it and Google what happens.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Lots of action that didn't seem far fetched, a realistic plot, and great actors/actresses. Viola Davis delivers an amazing performance as always. One of the better movies I've watched this year.
