OMG!!!! This is my favorite version of Dracula and I’ve watched Dracula movies since Bela Lagosi played the count. I’ve had a limited opportunity to watch silent films of Dracula and NO version of Dracula, not even Mary Shelley’s version compares to this version and what Frank Langella brought to this role. Total class act veteran stars! Frank Langella killed in this role!! Frank encompassed all the sexy-sass and allure associated with the Count. This version of Dracula doesn’t get the credit it deserves. Frank Langella’s performance in this version should be used as the blueprint on how Count Alucard is best portrayed!! And let’s not forget the supporting actors… from Donald Pleasance, to Lawrence Olivier and ALL those in between! Superb production, direction, and acting! Such an underrated film. So unfortunate we’re not making classic films like this anymore! No matter the moment, no matter the scene, Frank Langella always embodied The Count!! Those piercing eyes ready to pounce at any moment, ready for any situation. Love This Version!
