EA continues to be a plague on the gaming industry with this tiring cash cow. They do a disservice to the game of football and I feel bad for football fans who have no real alternatives. An ageing engine, dated graphics, uninspired gameplay and worse: FIFA Ultimate Team ~ back in full swing with its predatory monetization practices that we all know are in desperate need of regulation. Making up buzz words like "hypermotion" which disguises the inherent lack of innovation in the franchise is only the tip of iceberg. Worse yet, they have the audacity to charge $70 for the "next gen" version of the game, which gives the player no more product offering above a port from the older console version with a few graphical tweaks. It's time to call for the end of exclusive licensing deals that have a chokehold on the industry as a whole, and inject some much-need competition in to these sports titles. Give the fans what they really deserve after years of buying the same asset-flipped filth year on year: How about a next-gen football game.
