I thought this film would be good after seeing the trailer. I was mistaken. This had the potential to be a really good film, but it felt very disjointed and unfinished. The storyline jumped about all over the place and was rather difficult to watch. A lot of it wasnโt credible either. The โwildโ rabbits in one scene were very clearly from a pet shop and in another scene, they are in the tide and dive down to see tropical fish and turtles. There is a part where a young girl tags along with them randomly for a bit, which is a bit odd. When Moth gets sick, the sensible thing would be to call an ambulance, not sit shivering in a tent. There also would have been other options for the couple other than living out of a tent. They also would have had access to more money than the film made out. They wouldnโt have been struggling for food as they are in the film. I havenโt seen the book, but from what others are saying, walking was helping Mothโs condition? I didnโt pick that up at all from the film. When the end credits rolled I was left feeling like the film was completely unfinished. The entire thing was underwhelming and disappointing.
