DNF on page 17. It is the first book I've ever DNF'd. I couldn't even manage to hate-read it. Main character is annoying to read from narration to dialogue. Opens on triggering situation for what... shock value? It all felt forced like the author was trying too hard to appeal to a younger audience. Cringe buzz words and phrases were thrown in like "fake news." I almost threw the book reading that. In what fantasy world would a main character say that? Main character is supposed to be about 17, but she read like she was 12. I'm returning it.
