It's pretty obvious that those who voted 5 stars for this game are either glazing or actual bots. They seem to follow the same lifeless formula that doesn't feel real, as one of the other reviewers pointed out. I'm quite disappointed since one of the main criteria of a "perfect" rating is also the story content itself, not gameplay only. Messing up greatly with Japanese history and bringing about stuff that couldn't even exist at the time, alongside forcing a propaganda that's not in its right place is surely going to receive hate. It's not about Yasuke being the protagonist at all. Instead, they insult their shrines and even historical figures. Now, it's not like AC games were always historically accurate with the apple of Eden and immortality and all that, but that doesn't justify an ounce of what they did. Featuring a certain group of people is fine, but doing that in ancient Japan, of all countries?? It feels like they're trying to self-project certain beliefs that don't belong in this time period. No wonder it gets all that hate. I thought it was due to racism at first, guess not. Having revamped stealth and engaging gameplay still won't suffice without the actual content. Truly a disgrace to the Japanese culture.
