The teenage character, Beth's narration is brutal to listen to, not particularly relevant to the story. At least I think it isn't as I can't understand half of the drivel she's spouting. She's a distraction and an unrealistic annoyance to an otherwise OK western. She acts both ditzy and elegant in one instance and then becomes a competent yet giggly cowgirl the next.
Two episodes in and my wife has already asked me to mute each time she begins to narrate.
Otherwise the show is OK. Sam Elliot is fun to watch as always. The old west stereotypes are in full swing. Will keep watching but if you're expecting another "earlier" version of Yellowstone, you will be extremely disappointed.
