Initially I thought the book had some great points.
The idea that parents are too easily catering to their children and adopting an "I will do it for you attitude" is true however it may boil down to the upbringing of the parent as well as the caring and overly nurturing traits adapted due to their childhood.
I felt her stance was coming from a privileged place, having used highly academic resources without investigating stats from different neighbouring cultures and races in different regions and countries.
I do believe there are genuine people who advocate for the health and well being of their clients in the same way you would hope a doctor would but unfortunately we live within a spectrum of diversity. Healing modalities in different parts of the world may not readily rely on science to prove its affects however it doesn't disprove that it works. Has she "investigated" this.
