I think this film does a very good job of exploring how our school system is failing to provide proper supports for our most vulnerable students. Some of the footage is shocking and disturbing, but it is necessary to expose that these types of practices: restraint, seclusion and corporal punishment are still in use. The simple fact that students with disabilities are disciplined at much higher rates than general education students is UNACCEPTABLE. We need to educate, train and provide more support for our educators! We ask so much of them every day but don't provide the resources that are needed to effectively serve the changing needs of our students.
