I watched the new Superman movie today, and honestly, I was quite disappointed. The story felt weak, with nothing new or exciting to offer. Once again, we see the same kind of villain — someone who has personal issues with Superman. But somehow, this ordinary villain manages to create a clone of Superman? That felt a bit far-fetched. Also, Superman’s powers were portrayed very inconsistently. In Justice League, he was shown to be nearly as fast as The Flash. But here, he struggles against some nanoparticles? At one point, he tries to fly up into the sky to get rid of them, but it takes him forever — and even then, the particles don’t go away. Seriously? For the first time ever, I felt like Superman wasn’t powerful at all. Throughout the entire movie, he’s just struggling — whether it’s with the villain, the clone, or even just using his own powers properly. It felt more like watching a weak version of Superman rather than the symbol of strength he’s supposed to be.
