I came upon this through Point of View on PBS. I really loved it. So great to see young women connect with so much positive and "can do" attitudes while learning real life skills for navigating in a harsh world. Even the counter point to the Fox News clips suggesting that they should teach them leadership skills like cooking and sewing instead of community advocacy and action. Well, duh!! What are the skills that Fox thinks make a fully functioning female in this society? I bet those young women already know about those skills for survival. Real leadership is to be able to take what you know feels wrong going on around you and learn how to take action. I presume that the "Radical Health" badge teaches more than just how to make a good "white sauce." How about let's bring in or grow fresh food into my neighborhood instead. It frequently takes community action to do that. You go girls!!
