Modern day blaxploitation at it's worst. I've tried to support Tyler Perry projects through the years, but the writing and characters are pitiful.
I grew up on the plays, where the messages and music were at least positive. The depiction of black women and gay men do not put them in a favorable light.
I'm not a fan of musicals, but I'd take that over this disgusting display of teen sex trafficking and female exploitation.
